The Huntsville Symphony Orchestra has set high standards for artistic quality, community support, and service in northern Alabama. The orchestra has been delighting Huntsville audiences since its grass-roots formation in 1954. In recent years the symphony has enjoyed receptive audiences and an ever-growing reputation as an outstanding regional orchestral group.
The Huntsville Chamber Music Guild has been presenting enchanting performances of small-ensemble classical music since 1953. The Guild is happy to attract highly skilled musicians from around the world. All performances are held at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntsville.
The Alabama Music Hall of Fame's 12,500 square foot exhibit hall celebrates the lives and careers of famous Alabaman musicians. Past inductees include Hank Williams, Lionel Richie and Nat King Cole. The hall honors artists from all styles of music, and also recognizes every steps of the music process, from song writing to management to publishing.
Independent Musical Productions is a relatively young musical theatre that has quickly established itself on the Northern Alabama art s scene. Independent Musical Productions hosts the majority of their musical events at the Lee Lyric Theatre located at Lee High School in Huntsville.
The Huntsville Concert Band continues a long and rich legacy of performing community concert bands in the Tennessee Valley. The band has a diverse repertoire of music that includes Sousa marches, classical selections, show tunes, Broadway musicals, ragtime, jazz, Dixieland and swing. The band plays a variety of events and venues throughout the calendar year.
